BAILS TALES - DECEMBER - "BAIL CHRISTMAS MAIL"
With the end of the year now upon us it gives us the chance to reflect on two superb events held in the beautiful Allan Bean Centre this month. Our final Peer Group meeting and BAIL End of Year function. We were bulging at the seams with a capacity crowd to hear Johnny Bourke and Jo Fadyl present.
Johnny having just completed his Masters in Health Science (Rehab) at UOW presented his thesis and Jo presented a component of her about to be completed Phd (AUT). Both have undergraduate degrees in psychology and made quite an impression with the select audience.
Our end of year function followed on straight after where a very special presentation was made to Prof Alastair Rothwell and George Scrimshaw – both founding trustees of BAIL. It should be noted that many thought the catering was brought in however we were thrilled and proud to say Hellen and her awesome team in the kitchen had prepared the fine finger food.
2012 has been a good year for us despite the disruptions caused by the damage to our facilities. We have sensed a great support from our peers and colleagues at Burwood and wish to take this opportunity to thank you all for that. We feel very privileged to be based at Burwood Hospital and will continue to look for ways to add value to what you do through us being here in 2013.
We have some great things lined up and look forward to sharing them with you as we journey through the year in the BAIL’s Tales. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful holiday.
