BAIL'S TALES : March

It has been said at the Burwood Academy that “Our research champions independent living and improves life experience. Our research is not completed to gather dust on the shelf”.

It is with this in mind that we invite you to “Living and aging with Spinal Cord Injury” a Mini Symposium on Wednesday 19th March.

BAIL with the support of the Burwood Spinal Unit, is hosting an afternoon symposium on living and aging with spinal cord injury. Keynote speakers will include Dr Martin Sullivan, Associate Professor Sarah Derrett and Professor Charlotte Paul from Massey University who will present findings from their longitudinal SCI Life Histories research (two years on) and Richard Smaill who will present from his completed PhD on living and aging with a SCI. We will also have short presentations from Dr Jenn Dunn and PhD candidates Johnny Bourke and Anne Sinnott. To be held in the Alan Bean Centre, the event will run from 1pm – 5pm with afternoon tea at 2.30 and concluding with drinks and nibbles from 4.30pm.

The symposium is free of charge however we have limited seats available.
To secure a place, RSVP by email to Hans.Wouters@burwood.org.nz
With interest from all over the nation the seats are filling fast, so we hope to see you there.
