BAIL's TALES : FEBRUARY

Happy New Year from the team at BAIL

As the Burwood Campus continues to evolve and develop around us we are reminded that good things take time. As at the time of writing the BAIL office is still temporarily located in the Marshland Room next to Travis Café after the Allan Bean Centre was closed mid-2014. The space is working out well for us and we are enjoying working in closer quarters with our NZ Spinal Trust colleagues.
The beginning of 2015 sees us with 15 research projects in play and a number in planning stages. These projects range widely across disability and rehabilitation domains and include studies involving participants with spinal cord injury, brain injury, osteoarthritis and more and they all touch in some way on independent living for those with disabling conditions.
As part of our deliberate knowledge translation strategy we continue to focus on bringing clinicians and interested parties together to support young emerging and more experienced researchers in our popular Research Peer Group meetings. We will again aim to offer a diverse range of topics throughout the year and look forward to encouraging and inspiring research through them.
