This survey aims to find out about how wheelchair users have experienced community inclusion in the four years following the September 2010 Canterbury earthquake. This information can help local authorities understand the important factors for wheelchair users as communities rebuild.

LEAD RESEARCHER and KNOWLEDGE TRANSLATION SPECIALIST

I am pleased to confirm that the Board of the Burwood Academy of Independent Living (BAIL), on the recommendation of the BAIL Academy Director Dr Deborah Snell, has appointed John Bourke (PhD Candidate), to the role of Lead Researcher and Jo Nunnerley (PhD Graduand) to the role of Knowledge Translation Specialist.

The English translation of the Spinalis book “The Art of Healthy Living with Physical Impairments” is available for download for free!
The translation was made possible by our own Anne Sinnott Jerram from BAIL and is a superb publication.

It is with great pleasure we introduce Tracey Croot who is newly appointed as a BAIL Research Fellow, joining our current fellows, Jason Nicholls, Johnny Bourke and Carolyn Beaver.
